			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. the Historical Society will be hosting a panel discussion entitled &#8220;Historic Preservation - Is It Worth It?&#8221;. The meeting will be held at the historic Mitten Building at 345 N. Fifth Street in Redlands. Panelists will include the former director of the Claremont Preservation Foundation, president of the Old Riverside Foundation, and local preservationalist Dr. Terry Vines.</p>
<p>The purpose of the panel will be to explore the history of preservation efforts in Redlands and other communities in the Inland Empire. Is Historic Preservation worth it in today&#8217;s economy? should we be doing more to further preservation efforts in Redlands? What are some incentives that other communities are using to preserve their historic resources?</p>
<p>All members of the public are welcome.</p>

This tour passes by many remarkable Victorian gems, the &#8220;butler belt&#8221;, several Heritage Award homes, the Wissahickon Inn, two Edward Judson homes and ends at the projected center of Judson and Brown&#8217;s original 1881 subdivision.</p>
