The Redlands City Council will be reviewing an offer to purchase the historic Mutual Orange District packing house building located in the downtown historic district near the Santa Fe Railroad depot. The Council meeting starts at 6 p.m. Historical Society member, Clara Mae Clem, has offered to purchase the building and donate it to the Redlands Historical Museum Association. The Association has long been searching for a site to display the many items of historic interest that it has been collecting for the last ten years. All interested persons should let the City Council know how they feel about the potential sale of the property for the purpose of demolishing the packing house to make way for a grocery store.
